Duties and responsibilities - Provide accurate translation and interpretation services for the Ambassador and Embassy staff, including at high-level meetings; - Undertake research for the Ambassador and other Embassy staff on trade, political, security and economic interests; - Maintain effective communication networks with a wide range of local government, business and non-government contacts; and facilitate meetings and other contact for Embassy staff when required; - Assist the Embassy to develop programmes for, and escort, high-level and other New Zealand visitors to Viet Nam; - Coordinate the Embassy’s information and public affairs programme; - Provide occasional consular and visa assistance when required.
