The Project Document of “Environmental Remediation of Dioxin Contaminated Hotspots in Viet Nam” project was officially signed on 28 June 2010 by the Minister of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) and United Nations Development Programmes (UNDP). A funding of 4,977,00US$ is from Global Environment Fund (GEF) for 4 years of project implementation, from 2010-2013. The project objective is "to minimize disruption of ecosystems and health risks for people from environmental releases of TCDD contaminated hotspots". This will contribute to the broader Goal, which is "to overcome the consequences of toxic chemicals used in the war in Vietnam".
HELVETAS Vietnam is recruiting an Interpreter cum assistant, based in Hanoi for the PUBLIC SERVICE PROVISION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT - PSARD phase II - funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Vietnam (SDC/Hanoi). The objective of the program is poverty reduction and improved livelihood. The program will contribute to province and district-wide mainstreaming of participatory local planning, financial decentralization and improved public service delivery in agriculture (i.e. farmer field schools). The program focuses its activities in disadvantaged areas of Hoa Binh and Cao Bang provinces.
The WENARUDEP has a development objective which is: “Rural Poverty alleviation in three mountainous districts of Western Nghe An province” and follows one specific objective: “Improve sustainable rural livelihoods through appropriate and diversified agricultural production and related infrastructures”. The project, own by DARD is operating in a number of selected poor communes in the 3 districts of Tuong Duong, Con Cuong and Ky Son. It has a liaison office in Vinh. The project office is locate in Hoa Binh, Tuong Duong district in Nghe An.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Translate written official, technical, training documents related to project implementation from English to Vietnamese or vice versa

Animals Asia is a Hong Kong-based government-registered animal welfare charity founded by Jill Robinson MBE in 1998. It is devoted to the needs of wild, domesticated and endangered species throughout Asia and dedicated to ending cruelty and restoring respect for all animals. In Vietnam, Animals Asia has signed an agreement with the Government of Vietnam to rescue 200 bears and to establish a world class Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre (VBRC) in Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc Province. Our primary goals are to end bear farming, contribute to the conservation of bears in Vietnam and in the region and improve the welfare of such bears already in captivity.
