UNDP Viet Nam is preparing a number of pipeline projects that fall under the UN One Plan Outcome 3 on sustainable development. Pipelines projects target funding from various sources including the Strategic Climate Change Fund (SCCF) administered by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Global Environmental Facilities (GEF), and the SAICM Quick Start Fund.
To finalize those pipelines projects and activate project approval processes regulated by both funding agencies and the Government of Vietnam, the National Project Preparation Specialist (NPPS) will be required to conduct the following tasks: - Review draft PIF, DPO that are available and make necessary changes - Consolidate risk log, management arrangement structures of the pipelines projects
Lux-Development, the Executing Agency for Bilateral Development Co-operation financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, assists the Nghe An People’s Committee and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) to improve living conditions through (i) improving local capacity to deliver appropriate sustainable agriculture practices, (ii) improving poor farmers incomes from diversified sustainable agriculture practices and (ii) supporting Rural communities’ access to goods and services, in selected poor communes of the three districts of Con Cuong, Tuong Duong and Ky Son.
In order to support the development of agricultural small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has approved a 5-year master project "Studying policy proposals for supporting agricultural small and medium-sized enterprises in 2006-2010" which is financed by Spain and assigned to the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agricultural Development Rural (IPSARD) to perform. One of the goals set for current phase is to enhance capacity of communications to assist such businesses.
The project “Study for policy recommendations to support for development of small and medium enterprises in agriculture sector” (phase 2 and 3) "sponsored by AECID and implemented Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development has been designed to provide policy recommendations to facilitate the growth of agricultural and rural SMEs in Vietnam so as to generate more employment for rural labor, increase rural incomes and promote the competitive power of enterprises.
The Vietnam-Canada Program Support Unit (VC-PSU) is a Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) bilateral project. Its purpose is to provide support to CIDA’s development assistance program in Vietnam in order to maximize the development results and impact of the program.
