The Denmark - Vietnam “Low Carbon Transition in energy efficiency sector” project started in January 2013 and will continue until June 2017.
The project supports the second phase of the Vietnam Energy Efficiency Programme (VNEEP) in promoting energy efficiency in the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) industries (Component 1 – MOIT) and in implementing the new energy efficiency building code (EEBC) for new large buildings (Component 2 – MOC).
Union Aid Abroad APHEDA in partnership with the Trade Union Solidarity Centre of Finland (SASK) implemented a pilot project, “Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) on Labour Standards and Social Responsibility among Selected Vietnamese Supplier and Sub-Contractor Companies to the Finland Retail Sector” in Vietnam between 2006-2008. The project aimed to improve Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through improved labor standards and labor relations between employers and employees, leading to compliance with the European standard, BSCI, for selected Vietnamese retail supply companies to Finland. Altogether 13 companies and 18 factories took part in the project.

The objective of the assignment is to carry out a policy impacts assessment of the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the (I)NDC. The implementation of the Paris Agreement is in effect the implementation of the Viet Nam (I)NDC which cover all aspects of mitigation, adaptation, and means of implementation.
