Introduction
Environment and Development Action in Viet Nam (endaVietnam) is the Vietnamese antenna of enda Tiers Monde, operating in different provinces/cities in Viet Nam since 1995. endaVietnamworks with the poor in urban areas with focusing on community savings, slum upgrading, community-based solid waste system management, environment awareness, housing for low-income people, network of communities and cities. In 2011, Paz y Desarrollo, with technical support from International Centre for Research on Women India (ICRW) and UN Regional Programme Partners for Prevention started to adapt the Gender Equity Movement in Schools project (ICRW) for piloting in Danang City secondary schools. The aim of the pilot is to prevent and mitigate gender-based violence in society through a school-based gender equity and violence prevention curriculum and campaign activities. The primary target group of the project is boys and girls (11-14 years of age) in grades 6 and 7.
