Welcome to the NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for June 15 - 30, 2009!

As of 23 June 2009 members of Oxfam International in Vietnam -including Oxfam Great Britain, Oxfam Hong Kong, Oxfam Quebec and Oxfam Solidarity Belgium- are pleased to announce relocation of their office to 22 Le Dai Hanh, Hai Ba Trung District in Hanoi. They will continue using the present telephone and facsimile numbers, but all extensions will be reset.

As most of you will know by now, Trine Glue Doan has resigned from the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre to further her work in the environment sector. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Trine for the time she has spent working with us. Trine's professionalism, thorough knowledge of Vietnam and dedication made it a true pleasure working with her for more than two and half years. We wish Trine all the best in her future endeavours.

In news this week, the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) coalition in Vietnam is inviting all interested organisations to get involved in this year's campaign. Launched in 1999, the GCE is a movement of organisations and individuals all over the world who believe it is imperative that everyone has an education.

There's not a great deal to report as we head towards the end of 2008, with no major development-related events taking place. However, the NGO RC would like to remind our members and friends to take a look at a new report available on our website, which was coordinated by the centre entitled Forms of Engagement Between CSOs & State Agencies in Vietnam. See the members section for more details.

There is one working group meeting coming up in the next two weeks: the Disaster Management Working Group will meet at 1.30pm on January 6 at the NGO RC.

Welcome to the NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for November 15 - 30, 2008.

First off this week, with the end-of-year Consultative Group (CG) Meeting approaching soon on December 4-5, the NGO RC has begun preparations for the drafting of the INGO Statement, which is is distributed to all participants during the event and compiled in relation to the different sessions of the draft CG agenda. It forms the basis for input from the three INGO Representatives at the meeting, who are elected by INGO members of the NGO RC.
