The project on “Empowering Union Participation for strengthening the role of VGCL in Better Work Vietnam” supported by ILO and Levi Strauss foundation has been implemented from March 2009 to April 2010, supporting 3 FOL and 18 Garment and Textile enterprise unions including 8 in Ho Chi Minh, 5 in Binh Duong and 5 in Dong Nai.
In light of the success of this program and the demand from our international partners for a similar course, we have decided to conduct an additional course this year. The upcoming course will take place in Israel on November 30 – December 10, 2009.
The central focus of the course will be to present the successful Israeli rural poverty elimination experience as well as other international best-practice examples. Participants will have the opportunity to formulate ideas and policies which may be applicable to their own countries while sharing experiences with colleagues from around the world.
