Main responsibilities:
Assists the Project Manager in managing the project in Da Nang to ensure efficient implementation and operation of the project to achieve the set objectives.

PROJECT BACKGROUND
As part of the cooperation between the Government of Vietnam (GoV) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in poverty reduction, especially for ethnic minority and mountainous areas, UNDP is supporting GoV through the Committee for Ethnic Minorities (CEM) under a technical assistance project for “Improvement and Implementation of the National Target Programs for Poverty Reduction” including support to Program 135-II (SEDEMA 2006 – 2010), usually called VIE/02/001/SEDEMA component and a newly set up project of “Capacity Strengthening for Ethnic Minority Policy Formulation, Implementation and Monitoring Project “(EMPCD) from 2008 - 2012.

GRET (Groupe de Recherche et d’Echanges Technologiques) is a French professional solidarity and international cooperation association that works to contribute to sustainable, fair development and alleviate poverty and structural inequalities in over 40 countries.

They are currently looking to recruit a female Vietnamese Project Manager for our project ComVaW  (Combating family-based Violence against Women) in the province of Hoa Binh.

1. POSITION:    One Vietnamese Short Term Consultants to assess the QTRDP’s impact on capacity of implementing organisations
2. CLOSING DATE:    January 15, 2009
3. HIRING DATE :    Mid  February -  end of March
4. LOCATION:    Quang Tri Province (covering Cam Lo, Hai Lang and Dakrong districts)
5. DURATION:    30 working days (including travel to and from Dong Ha) for each of the consultants
