They are now looking for a Senior Project Officer (Vietnamese) to coordinate our work in Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue Provinces. Center for Community Health Promotion (CHP), a young local NGO, works for lasting improvements in the well-being of people through health promotion and community development approaches with focus on capacity building and empowerment. Their primary targets are the most vulnerable and disadvantaged populations including vulnerable children and women, ethnic and social minority groups, mobile populations and migrant workers, and people living with HIV/AIDS etc.
CHP is immediately looking for a qualified and dynamic Vietnamese for the position of program manager, based in Hanoi office, to manage its extending program. Desired qualifications are:

The project Technical Assistance Support for Management of Program 135-II (SM-P135) is implemented by the State Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs (CEM) in collaboration with Niras Finland (consultant company), and under agreement between the Governments of Vietnam and Finland. The project works to improve management of the Program for Socio-economic Development of Extremely Difficult Communes in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas (P135) in order to alleviate ethnic minority poverty.

Background: HFHV began work in Tien Giang province in 2007. So far, the project has assisted 2,300 families in 15 wards/communes, by improving the quality of shelter, sanitation in individual homes. The improvements are being realized through micro-finance, a revolving loan fund as well as through the provision of technical support services and low cost construction.
