Vacancies with SODI (Solidarity Service International)

SODI (Solidarity Service International) is a German non-profit organization working on humanitarian UXO clearance and integrated development in Vietnam since 1998 in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri province. We are looking for qualified candidates to fulfill the following 4 positions:

(1) 01 Team Leader – Deep Search Team;

(2) 02 UXO Clearance Technician – Deep Search Team;

(3) 01 Administration Treasure Officer.

1 Group leader of Deep search team: 01 position

a.Responsible for:

- Carrying out the daily work such as BAC, EOD, survey and other de-mining and clearance activities in a professional manner and as per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Day-to-day management of the Area Clearance group.
- Responsible for clearance equipment such as detectors, PPE, explosives, vehicles, as well as the safe operation (as per SOPs) and maintenance of the same.
- Work according to daily work plans as decided by Operation Officer.
- Responsible for group related equipment and daily maintenance of the same.
- Reporting broken or not fully functional equipment.
- Compliance with SODI staff policies.
- All other duties as may be assigned by the Operation Officer.

b.Requirements:

- Have training on UXO and UXO clearance and disposal.
- Able to organize an UXO demolition.
- At least 2 years worked as BAC group leader

2 UXO clearance technician of Deep search team: 02 positions

a.Responsible for:

- Carrying out the daily work such as BAC, EOD, survey and other de-mining and clearance activities in a professional manner and as per Standard Operating Procedures,
- Responsible for clearance equipment such as detectors, PPE, explosives, vehicles, and the safe operation (as per SOP’s) and maintenance of the same,
- Work according to daily work plans as decided by the Group leader,
- Responsible for team related equipment and daily maintenance of the same,
- Reporting broken or not fully functional equipment to the Group leader,
- Compliance with SODI staff policies,
- All other duties as assigned by the Group Leader.

b.Requirements:

- Have training on UXO and UXO clearance and disposal.
- At least 1 year worked as UXO clearance technician.

3 Administration Treasure Officer: 01 position

a. Responsibilities:   

-  Support the Logistic Officer with the file system and maintaining it by correctly following the file system in the Quang Tri Office.    
-  The Administration and Treasure Officer reports to the Program Finance Officer in regards to finance and is responsible for preparing cash statements and maintaining cash control.
-  To ensure that all cash transactions are recorded in the Petty Cash book without delay.
-  To ensure that all cash transactions are recorded with petty cash voucher without delay and that no payments are being conducted without prior written approval by the Project Manager or Program Manager.
-  Conduct cash count and surprise cash count with other finance & admin staff.
-  Manage and handle petty cash for SODI Vietnam.
-  Prepare the weekly cash position report.
-  Administrative and translation work in the Program Office.
-  The Administration and Treasure Officer reports to the Project Manager in regards operations, office and all other matters.
-  To strictly follow all SODI finance and other regulations.

b. Desired qualifications:

- Relevant higher education.
- Accounting certificate.
- Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Power point).
- Experience working with administration and logistics.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English.
- The position is 100% in addition to that there are requirements to travel and stay overnight occasionally. Working evenings is also required occasionally.
