Technical Officer;

FHI 360 is an international, non-governmental organization that works with the Vietnam Ministry of Health, provincial health services, and local non-government organizations to promote the health and well-being of the Vietnamese people, particularly vulnerable and marginalized populations. In Vietnam, FHI 360 is currently building the capacity of local organizations in HIV prevention, care & treatment, drug treatment policy, and drug treatment practice.
They are currently seeking qualified, experienced, and highly motivated candidates to work in our HIV Care & Treatment and HIV Counseling &Testing (HTC) programs as well as on response teams with other FHI 360 Vietnam staff:
1. Technical Officer, HIV Care and Treatment
Main responsibilities and essential qualifications:
- Develop, manage, and monitor comprehensive HIV/AIDS care, support, and treatment projects, including antiretroviral therapy (ART), co-infected with TB, and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) for people living with HIV (PLHIV).
- Provide technical and programmatic support in the development of national standards and supporting materials for comprehensive HIV care, support, and treatment. Support and strengthen coordination between prevention, STI, HTC, and care & treatment services for most-at-risk groups (e.g., sex workers, MSM, transgender, and IDUs).
- Medical or social science background, preferably a Master’s degree in social sciences or public health.
- Two years professional experience or comparable in providing medical care, preferably to people living with HIV. Demonstrated skills and knowledge in holistic and client-centered care.
- Knowledge on and experience in epidemiology and/or STI clinical management in resource-poor settings would be advantageous.
Job location: FHI 360 Hanoi office with frequent travel to program provinces.

2. Technical Officer, HIV Counseling and Testing
Main responsibilities and essential qualifications:
- Monitor a number of HTC sites for quality assurance and quality improvement (QA/QI), provide technical assistance, review and give feedback on reports from implementing agencies.
- Participate in technical and capacity building activities.
- Assist in data analysis and perform other tasks as required.
- Medical or social science background, preferably a Master’s degree in social sciences or public health.
- Knowledge about HIV/AIDS is a must. Experience and knowledge in management of health or development programs, preferably in the area of HIV counseling and testing.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative data and reports.
Job location: FHI 360 Hochiminh City Office (preferable) or FHI 360 Hanoi Office with frequent travel to program provinces.

General requirements for all positions:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in health education and development programs in Vietnam.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize and respond in a timely manner to stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Excellent written and oral communication in both Vietnamese and English.
- Computer literate with strong skills in use of MS office package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint...)
