Team Leader (International Position), Consultancy contract.

SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalyzing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).

SNV Netherlands Development Organisation seeks a Team Leader for a World Bank assignment which is to support sanitation supply chain development and capacity building in the 21 provinces on rural sanitation in Northern Mountains and Central Highlands Regions of Vietnam (NM-CH).  He/she will lead the whole team in implementing the assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Overall project management and compliance;
  • Prepare strategy note on recommendations and suggested pathway for strengthening capacity of regional health institutes;
  • Clients and beneficiary relationship management;
  • Oversight and capacity building of cluster coordinators and provincial coordinators,
  • Input into advocacy event curriculum;
  • Prepare quarterly, mid-term and final reports;

General Qualifications

  • Master degree in social science, public health, environment, education or other relevant fields.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience working on planning, capacity building, local service delivery, supply chain development in Vietnam. International experience with similar assignments in other countries is preferred.
  • Proven capacity to lead and work in multi-disciplinary team, work and communicate effectively with colleagues from government at central and local level, development partners and civil society, produce high-quality results, and demonstrate analytical skills.
  • Show team leadership and participation skills and a demonstrable commitment to partnership development and participatory, process-based approaches to build the understanding, ownership and capacity of partners in project planning and implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.

Type of Contract:

  • Consultant contract with a competitive salary package.
  • The fee rates and per diems will be covered and consistent with SNV cost norms.
  • Start date is estimated for May 2016
