Request for Proposal for Service - UNICEF

UNICEF VIET NAM is looking for qualified Institutional/Corporate service for “Rapid assessment among parents and health workers about trust in routine immunization for children up to 5 years”.

Summary of the Assignment

The Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) in Vietnam is on-going since 1985 and has brought greater efficiency in the prevention and treatment for people. UNICEF is seeking an institution to conduct a rapid survey to assess prevailing attitudes, confidence, immunization behaviour and trust in vaccination in general among parents and families of children up to 5 years. The survey will also measure prevailing knowledge, trust in immunization and interpersonal skills among health care workers administering vaccines to explain to parents when it is safe to vaccinate children and what side-effects, if any, to look out for in the 24 hours following immunization. 

First part of the assessment will consist of a desk review consisting of a content analysis of a selected number of media (print, TV and online) stories focusing on immunization in Viet Nam in the past six months is also required. Following which the rapid assessment will consist of two parts. First part will consist of a rapid survey and the second part will consist of in-depth qualitative study) in two provinces.

The duration of the assignment is from 20 October 2013 till 30 November 2013.

The Service Providers will be asked to make the bid in 2 parts: one will be the technical proposal and the other one will be the price proposal.

Deadline for Submission: Proposals MUST be received by latest _10:00_ hours local time on 09/10/2013.  Proposals for Services received after the stipulated date and time will be invalidated.
