Regional Senior Technical Officer, Care and Support

They are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Regional Senior Technical Officer, Care and Support based in Hanoi, Vietnam.
 
Position Responsibilities:
 The Regional Senior Technical Officer, Care and Support will be responsible for providing technical oversight to the FHI/Vietnam country program and other FHI country programs and implementing partners in the Asia and Pacific region to ensure technical soundness of care and support interventions, policy and research. This includes providing leadership and capacity building related to HIV care and support for adults and children as well as on specific technical areas such as palliative care, community and home-based care, mental health, nutrition, ART adherence, and prevention with positives (Positive Health, Dignity and Prevention). Emphasis will also be placed on providing leadership in the Continuum of Prevention and Care approach including defining linkages and interventions from diagnosis to pre-ART care, ART and end-of-life care. The Regional Senior Technical Officer will also be expected to provide technical assistance related to quality improvement (QI) and health systems strengthening (HSS) aspects of Care and Support.
 
Position Requirements:
- MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field.
- 5 - 7 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS or family planning with international development programs; Or PhD, MD or similar degree with 3 - 5 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS or family planning with international development programs.
- Overseas field experience required.
- High-level of expertise in at least one area of care and support programming, e.g. home-based care, palliative care, mental health, counseling, plus the ability to engage local and international consultants to assist in other areas when needed.
- Vietnamese or other Asian language skills preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
