VBCWE is a not-for-profit membership organisation founded by seven of Vietnam’s top companies – Deloitte Vietnam, Traphaco Joint Stock Company, Southern Airports Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO), Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Vietnam Maritime Commercial Join Stock Bank (MSB), Unilever Vietnam and Garco 10 Joint Stock Company.

The Project Manager will be the organisation’s most senior role, reporting to the Chair of the Board and responsible for ensuring an efficient operational platform to support organisational goals.  Working in close partnership with the Board, you will ensure that internal governance, planning, policies and systems and make sure the organisation can carry out its mission and objectives.

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Project Manager to oversee VBCWE’s operations. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations to support delivery of VBCWE’s services. This will include being responsible for the finance, human resources, procurement, communication and administration functions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor and performance manage the VBCWE team, providing regular feedback on their performance and helping to deliver on their work plan and the organisation’s objectives.
  • Ensure operational support is of high quality, provided on time, within budget and compliant with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Financial management including budget development and forecast; financial planning; cash-flow management; maintaining financial records, Chart of Accounts and all bank accounts.
  • Oversee risk and fraud mitigation processes.
  • Ensure strong governance practices, including overseeing and sign-off of all contracts, subcontracts, service agreements, MOUs and purchase orders
  • Proactively monitor and report on organisational risk to Board and implement mitigation measures accordingly.
  • Deliver timely, relevant and high-quality bi-monthly financial reports for stakeholders and provide input into organisational progress reports.

Job Requirements

You will be a strong manager, have excellent business acumen and the ability to implement business strategies. You will ideally have experience delivering programs for donors such as DFAT, USAID, FCDO, ADB or World Bank. You will also be aligned with VBCWE’s values and mission, have an interest in gender equality and social inclusion and will enthusiastically promote VBCWE’s vision.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  2. Minimum ten years’ experience in managing or leading operations, human resources and finances in either the NGO or private sector.
  3. Proven track record of overseeing budgets successfully.
  4. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  5. Working knowledge of financial management systems, IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
  6. Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
  7. Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  8. Proficiency in English including writing reports, policies and procedures.
