The Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) is a programme of the Green Cities Fund, Inc. (GCF), an international non-governmental organisation based in Oakland, California. VGBC is a non-profit project and functions solely to build up a green construction environment in Vietnam.We aim to be the focal point for academia, government, and the private sector while defining green building metrics to drive market transformation.

We are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Project Engineer based in Hanoi office.

1. Job Summary:
To work with Technical Coordinator to support and assist the development and maintenance of LOTUS green building rating system
To involve in coordination and assessment for LOTUS certification projects
To maintain the internal technical systems and the LOTUS administrative documentation systems
To participate in technical capacity building and raising awareness activities

2. Tasks and responsibilities:

LOTUS rating tools and technical activities:

• Assist with the management, development and update/upgrade of the LOTUS green building rating tools
• Assist / Plan and coordinate technical research
• Ensure timely update/upgrade of the VGBC technical documentation system
• Participate in related raising awareness and capacity building activities

LOTUS certification:

• Take part in LOTUS certification assessments
• Coordinate with all concerned parties during LOTUS certification assessments
• Assist with any other duties assigned by the Technical Coordinator

3. Qualifications:

• Tertiary degree in engineering (M&E or Civil Engineering) or architecture would be an advantage
• Experience as a project coordinator or similar roles in construction and/or design project would be an advantage
• Experience or good understanding about LOTUS rating tools and other green building rating tools would be an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Vietnamese
• Strong interest and knowledge about sustainable development and construction
• Strong organizational and communication skills, detail oriented with an ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Intelligent, independent, pro-active and not-for-profit oriented mind
