Project Coordinator
The ILO Office in Vietnam invites applications from Vietnamese nationals for the positions below:
The responsibilities and tasks of the position will be carried out within the ILO results-based management system and in line with ILO rules and regulations.
1. Project Coordinator, Effective formulation and implementation of local strategies for promoting pro-poor employment and facilitating the transition to formality Project
The position will be based in Hanoi Office and will report to the ILO Country Director for Vietnam with a close collaboration and consultation with the Programme Unit at the Country Office and DWT Bangkok specialists. The assignment is for 18 months at NOA level.
Minimum Requirements include:
- University degree in social science, economics, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent in experience.
- At least 2 years of proven management experience in the project management, including field experience in project coordination and implementation. Proven capacity to initiate and implement project activities and manage budgets. Experience in value chain development is an asset. Familiarity with the ILO and its work is an asset. Familiarity with UN procedures is an advantage.
- Excellent command of Vietnamese and English
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage technical co-operation projects of international organizations; Ability to work effectively in an international project team and participate in technical and advisory missions to the provinces; Ability to prepare reports of a sound technical quality; Knowledge of programme and budget, project administration and project evaluation concepts and procedures. Good organisational skills; Ability to supervise support staff; Proficient in basic computer software (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and WP)
