Project Coordinator

Position title     : Project Coordinator
Workplace        : HCM HRC Projects (Tien Giang, Dong Nai, Long An, HCM)
Reports to        : National Director in lieu of HCM HRC Manager
Direct Reports  : HCM HRC Manager.
Relates to         : Project teams, Senior leadership, Implementing Partners, Key Officials, Strategic Partners
Start date         : on or before June 01, 2011

Overall responsibility:   Coordination of the existing and development of new projects of HCM HRC.

Key areas of responsibilities:
1. Institution representative role:
- Represents Habitat for Humanity Vietnam (HFHV) to local partners;
- Develop & secure the project partnership development;
- Support HFHV’s Partners in developing and maintaining HFHI's Standards of Excellence
- Identify and secure resources for organizational growth in program scale, stability, and sustainability

2. Programmatic coordination role:
- Support the development (including proposal writing) of new projects under the program, when required.
- Ensure good project planning and successful implementation under the program.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with key partners/local authorities, work with them to implement new projects in a good manner.
- Support the supervision and monitoring of responsible projects.
- Execute the M&E activity, include the frequent monitoring trips to the project sites, and make sure that lessons learned and experiences identified are properly reported and followed-up.
- Support the Program Manager to prepare internal and external reports (financial and narrative) within agreed time-frame on progress of responsible projects.
- Provide support to capacity building, awareness raising, media and campaign work in related to program areas.

- Experience requirements

- BA in sociologies or in related fields
- English Proficiency
- At least 5 years experienced in social works and of project coordination/management, planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Good knowledge of construction project (Housing prefered), microfinance project, disaster management project, IEC campaign
- Ability to work under pressure and challenging working conditions, and frequent travels to site areas in Vietnam
- Good experience and ability to work with governmental agencies, local authorities and local communities
- Be able to manage and coordinate communication & media campaigns within programs
- Good skills in proposal writing

Remuneration Range: Grade P3, Level A-B

Annual or project specific job plans will be developed with supervisor and management team will objectively guide and serve as assessment tool for regular (3-6 months) performance assessments and formal annual or end of project performance appraisals.
