Vacancy: Project Assistant

Based in Hanoi

They are looking for a Vietnamese national for the position of Project Assistant in Education team. The successful candidate will be based in Hanoi with frequent travels to project locations.

Main Responsibilities

Project Assistant is to support the effective implementation of the quality preschool and primary education for disadvantaged children especially ethnic minority children and children with disabilities in selected districts in Quang Ninh and Quang Tri provinces. He/she will contribute to ensure effective project implementation and achieving project objectives in close coordination with partners by conducting regular monitoring and reporting on the progress.

Person specification
- University degree or equivalent in education, social sciences or other relevant field

- At least 1.5 years experience in education project implementation, preferably in international organizations, INGOs and/or bilateral organization
- Ability to work independently, task orientation with a minimum of supervision within a team.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively
- Political awareness
- Computer literacy
- Willingness to work at the project sites (district level) with frequent travel
- Good English and Vietnamese written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to Convention of the Right of the Child
- A professional demeanour. Experience/knowledge on inclusive education is an asset
