SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalyzing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).
SNV Vietnam is seeking a highly qualified national candidate for the position of Project Accountant to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Check numerical correctness and completeness of financial administration and booking documents of projects; the checks will include compliance to the following criteria:
  
  • Expenses fit within the authorized budgetary frameworks
  • Expenses fit within the organization’s goals as stipulated in the subsidy agreement (reflected in the Management Agreement budget)
  • Expenses are correctly recorded in the on-line financial system used by SNV (Sap ByDesign)
  • Expenses are not in conflict with relevant statutory (VN laws, SNV and donor) rules and regulations
  • Expenses are covered by sound documentation or other evidence

• Document and archive relevant project documents. All information should be in line with project documents and other requirements of donors.

Candidate profile

• Native Vietnamese;
• Bachelor degree, preferably in Accounting/ Finance or Economics major;
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in financial management and contracting at international private or development organizations;
• Specialized in project administration set up and execution;
• Good organizing skills and good team spirit and enthusiasm;
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills (English and Vietnamese);
• Good computer skills in MS-applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Email, Power Points).
• Good knowledge in system: SAP

Supervision:

The Project Accountant will be coached and supervised by Financial Officer of SNV Vietnam.

Contract Duration:

10 days contract without extension

Start date:

As soon as possible.
