ISET is an international research organization working to integrate science and policy research with on-the-ground activities and projects through innovative action research programs. ISET is seeking a program officer with strong English language and project management skills to monitor and manage the intervention projects in Can Tho. This is one-year contract with potential for extension. This position is open until it is filled.

Position Description
In collaboration with ISET Viet Nam country coordinator, technical lead, and ISET staffs based in Vietnam and in the region, to:
1. Monitor and manage the intervention projects under ACCCRN program in Can Tho
Ensure that ACCCRN activities in Can Tho implemented effectively, particularly 3 projects (1) “Climate Change Coordination Office”; (2) “Strengthening the Resilience of Can Tho City through Participatory Research and Intervention on Dengue Fever in the context of Climate Change”; (3) “Enhancing Can Tho city resilience to respond to saline intrusion caused by climate change”
Collaborate with ISET Viet Nam technical lead to monitor and report on progress of city level implementation actions in Can Tho;
2. Collaborate with country coordinator, technical lead and CCCO to facilitate the process of concept notes and proposals development
3. Work closely with project management board of each intervention project to develop and update work plan and foster relationship with organizations, agencies, and individuals relating to project implementation
4. Maintain regular communications with ISET Vietnam staff as well as other ISET associates globally as appropriate on work status, progress, and concerns
5. Provide input and support to ISET regional ACCCRN activities (learning, analysis and synthesis of methods, tools and outcomes)
6. Perform other jobs as required

Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree related to community development, climate change or disaster risk reduction, or other relevant fields
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in project management
- Thorough understanding of project management the Vietnamese context, relevant regulatory and policy framework at national and provincial level
- Strong communication, networking and teamwork skills. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment is an asset
- Demonstrated written and oral communication and report writing skills in both English and Vietnamese
- Ability to work under high pressure to produce quality outputs with limited supervision and management
- Work experience with international development organizations and programs
- Well-developed computer and internet skills
- High integrity and transparency
- Supervision and Reporting

This position will report directly to the ISET Viet Nam country coordinator, Ms. Ngo Thi Le Mai, and the ISET Vietnam technical lead, Dr. Phong Tran.  Due to the physical distances separating staff, the program officer will be expected: (a) to be highly proactive concerning communication and reporting; (b) to be able to work well independently; and (c) to actively seek input and feedback on both their work and project progress.
