Programme Director

ChildCare Vietnam (“CCV”), a new U.S.-based NGO devoted to improving the care of abandoned, disabled, and needy children in Quang Nam province, seeks a full-time Program Director.
Location: Tam Ky
Start date: Approximately April 1, 2016

Job Duties:

• Negotiate and draft Memoranda of Understanding with Quang Nam province officials, shelters, trainers, and professional service providers
• Assist CCV in determining the structure of a program for improved care of infants at shelters in Quang Nam province, including staff size, hours, salaries, and qualifications
• Manage recruitment and training of additional infant care staff
• Daily on-site supervision of infant care staff
• Assist CCV in assessing program and planning any expansion
• Oversee annual medical screening of children and assessment of disabled children
• Identify of needed services for disabled children and oversee development of treatment plans
• Identify service providers for disabled children
• Oversee provision of services to disabled children
• Provide English/Vietnamese translation and interpretation as needed to carry out the above

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently
• Love of children and commitment to helping the needy
• Social work or similar University degree preferred
• Experience with services for disabled persons
• Fluency or near-fluency in English
• Experience working with government agencies and institutions
• Willingness to live in, or commute to, Tam Ky
