The American Red Cross (ARC) is a non-profit, volunteer-led, humanitarian organization seeking to prevent and alleviate human suffering around the world by responding to disasters, building safer, more resilient communities, and educating future humanitarians. AFAP Vietnam seeks qualified, highly motivated candidates who are ready to undertake a long-term commitment to the not-for-profit sector, for the position of Communications Intern, to commence as soon as possible but no later than Thursday, 6 February 2014. The internship represents an exciting opportunity for aspiring development workers to enhance their skills and gain both field and office-based programmatic  and communication work experience, as part of a 3-6 month structured learning process.

The Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD), a Vietnamese non-government organization (VNGO), is committed to empower disadvantaged communities in rural and mountainous areas to adapt to changing environments, and to manage sustainably livelihood systems in an equal and compassionate society.

Founded in 2006, SRD has conducted nearly 50 projects with the main focus on sustainable agriculture, rural livelihoods, climate change, local governance and pro-poor policy advocacy. SRD is a founding member and the chair of major local networks including the VNGO&CC, VNGO-FLEGT and an active member of many other local/regional networks and policy forums.
