1. BACKGROUND

Passerelles numériques (PN), a non-profit organisation, is dedicated to provide education, technical and professional training in the digital sector to young underprivileged people by leveraging their potential and willpower. We endeavour to truly develop their employability which will allow them and their families to escape poverty in a sustainable way, and contribute to the social and economic development of their countries.

Established in Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam, Passerelles numériques currently trains 555 students and aims to train 750 in the next three years. PN employs 96 people based in these three countries including a small team in France.

Passerelles numériques relies on the financial and skills sponsorship of several corporate partners such as Accenture, Econocom-Osiatis, CA Technologies and Microsoft and also receives support from individual donors.

Launched in 2010 in Da Nang, PN Vietnam offers a 2-year vocational training program to youth in precarious situations from the Central region of Vietnam. PN Vietnam graduated 163 students so far.

2. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

ROLE: This position will work and report directly to the IT & Training Manager.

1. Training Delivery

• Provide training sessions to the students  on cover letter, CV & interview preparation, communication, time management, problem solving, business ethics, effective learning, note-taking, email writing, thinking skills, presentation skills, searching and compiling information, project management, professional behavior, company knowledge, career orientation, job search, labor law, etc.
• Update and improve the training materials and ensure they are ready in time
• Propose and participate in the organisation of Professional Life activities for students: company visits, conferences from professionals, workshops, etc.
• Organise the student evaluation and marking

2. Teaching methodology

Collaborate with colleagues to address training issues and to constantly improve the training approach

• Share new ideas and teaching methodology for improving the training quality at PNV
• Apply and develop pedagogical methodology, tools and tips
• Attend pedagogy trainings and apply trainings to teaching
• Involve in education activities to assist students’ performance

3. Update PLT curriculum

• Review and update the PLT curriculum
• Propose new ideas related to PLT training curriculum

4. Internship preparation & assessment

• Work closely with External Relations Department to prepare all documentation related to internship preparation for the students (workshop, preparation of CV, booklet of internship guidelines, mock tests, etc.)
  
  • Conduct training on internship preparation
  • Cooperate with External Relations team to follow up with students during internship

• Prepare and monitor the internship evaluation grid, reporting and marking

5. Others

• Participate actively in PNV social mission, tutorship, virtual company, and student placement

3. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Business Administration or other related fields
• At least 2 year of experience in teaching, working for company or NGO
• Good command of English communication
• Motivation to teach and work for social project
• Strong commitment to work with underprivileged students
• Autonomous and well-organized person
• Willing to work under pressure and meet deadline with high accuracy level
• Good skills in Microsoft office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook…
