National Project Manager

The ILO Office in Vietnam invites applications from Vietnamese nationals for the following positions:

National Project Manager-Project of SCORE, Sustainability through Competitive and Responsible Enterprises:

The incumbent will report to the Director of the ILO Country Office in Vietnam through the Chief Technical Advisor of the SCORE project, will receive technical guidance from Bangkok DWT specialists and will work in close collaboration with the Programme Manager of the Better Work Vietnam project and VCCI.

The duration of appointment is 12 months with possibility of extension subject to fund availability. The assignment is based in HCMC, Viet Nam.

Minimum Requirements include:

  • University degree in business management, engineering, economics or relevant field.  
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in project management and implementation
  • Broad knowledge and experience in small and medium enterprise development
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, both in English and Vietnamese;
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, personal discipline;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide business training and skills counselling;
  • Ability to influence decision makers and negotiate with governments and social partners;
  • Ability to manage in a coherent manner and monitor several activities, budgets and work plans at the same time;
  • Ability to lead technical missions and to provide technical advice small business management training;
  • Ability to design research techniques and analyze practices and data sets covering a wide range of issues in relation to workplace practices and competitiveness;
  • Proficient in basic computer software (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
