National Program Manager

Summary:
The National Program Manager role reports directly to the Executive Director.  The responsibilities listed below are inclusive, but not exhaustive, of the role.  It is reasonable to assume that additional tasks will be requested, as and when needed.

Appraised:
This role will be appraised by the Executive Director.  Every effort should be made by the position holder to record achievements throughout the year in order to document appropriately, as supporting evidence, on AIPF’s annual appraisal form.
This role appraises the Program Coordinator roles (in HCMC)

Point person for:
Matters relating to programs
HCMC program staff management

Primary function
To oversee program implementation
To manage program staff
Critical role in developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders
Critical role in creative input for program development
Critical role in program staff development
Appraise program staff

Program implementation and quality control
Lead liaison between relevant parties on each project to ensure implementation reflects all parties interests
Lead role in coordinating program staff to facilitate all components for each project (helmet design / ceremony / media etc)
Lead role in coordinating program staff in working with Protec on all aspects of helmet production / delivery etc

Program monitoring, reporting and evaluation
Coordinate monitoring and evaluation of all reporting requirements; to include:
Compliance rates
Acceptance rates
Crash reports
Post event reports
Sponsor reports
Provide oversight, guidance and support to program staff

Program development
Take a proactive role in developing and implementing program activities
Take a proactive role in partner / sponsor meetings to engage in new ideas and develop current programs
Identify strengths and weaknesses in program design and components
Be proactive in developing new project ideas and strategies
Add value

Budget management
Oversee project budgets
Monitor and ensure achievement of budget

Staff management
Regular management check-in meetings with individual program staff
Record keeping of program staff performance (in terms of professional development)
Record keeping of program staff performance (in terms of adherence to Company policies and procedures)

Key working relationships
Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships including:
Government
Local government
Government partners
Sponsors / donors
Partnerships
Parents
Teachers
Attend networking opportunities, conferences, workshops etc
Encourage and develop networking skills of program staff

Qualifications:
University degree
Excellent written and verbal English
Five years experience in a similar position
Five years experience working in an international organisation
Proven managerial skills
Commitment to AIP Foundations mission, vision and core values
Flexible attitude
Excellent communication skills
A dynamic and professional individual with initiative
