Local Expert/Consultant to Conduct Research
DAI Global seeks a local expert/consultant to conduct research regarding Vietnam’s Provincial and Local Government Structure and opportunities for donor assistance to strengthen subnational structures related to policy and service delivery. The assignment includes desk research as well as key informant interviews with local stakeholders, with periodic verbal and written reports required in English. The assignment is for 12 to 14 days total during the months of December 2021 and January 2022.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, development, political science, law or related field of study; Master’s degree preferred.
- Ten (10) years or more of work with international development organizations and/or Government of Vietnam
- Technical expertise in economic governance, with knowledge of provincial and local government systems in Vietnam
- Familiarity with local indices such as Provincial Capacity Index (PCI) and/or The Viet Nam Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI)
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English is required
