International and National Consultants

Project “Vietnam/UNDP/UNEP Partnership Initiative for the Integration of Sound Management of Chemicals into Development Planning and Processes” is funded by UNDP/UNEP and implemented by Vietnam Chemicals Agency (VINACHEMIA), Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT). The project is seeking a highly qualified international and national expert, with knowledge of and experience in environmental economy to help Vinachemia/ MOIT and other project partners implementing economic valuation of a national chemical priority selected during the project implementation.

The main objective of the assignment is to (1) valuate monetary costs and benefits of implementation of a proposed national SMC priority in comparison with inaction on the same issue, and (2) provide cost benefit analysis training to GoV staff to build up their capacity for economic valuation and communication on policy alternatives.
