RECRUITMENT FOR INCOME GENERATION INTERN

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has been operating in 37 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including about 10 million children.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 3 provinces; Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. GNI is working in main areas as child sponsorship and education, water and sanitation, income generation, etc. in 6 CDPs and is managing about 10,000 sponsored children.

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Country Director, Managing Director, General Manager, OD Manager, AD-FD Manager/Officers , PMs, Project Officers

External: GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

• Conduct survey, home visiting of IG groups and cooperatives;
• Support and guide households to participate in activities relating to IG sector such as: develop regulation set, business and production plan for members of IG group, guide on procedures, prepare documents for members registering to join IG group;
• Supervise and check regular activities of IG group and cooperative;
• Support IG groups, cooperatives and partners to prepare proposal for activities;
• Support households participating in IG program and other beneficiaries to implement activities timely and effectively;
• Support local authorities, group management boards to manage revolving fund of IG program;
• Monitor and keep financial receipts and documents related to IG activities;
• Carry out survey and marketing activities and contact potential customers to sell products of IG group;
• Provide support in logistic works for meetings, workshops and trainings;
• Other tasks assigned IG officer and Project Manager.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education:

• University degree in relevant fields of recruitment position:
  
  • Economics,
  • Agriculture
  • Agricultural Economics,
  • Veterinary

Work experience:

• Fresh graduates are accepted to apply;
• An applicant who owns experience in farmer capacity development will be preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to work independently and work with team.
• Good communication skill
• Good skill in computer use: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email
• Basic English skill.
