Job Title: HEALTH SERVICES COORDINATOR

Report to: Health Service Manager

Job purposes: This position is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring various aspects of PSI/Vietnam’s efforts to strengthen the capacity of private sector providers (clinics as well as pharmacists) to provide quality services and appropriate referrals to public facilities for the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis, hypertension and other health issues. The incumbent will also be responsible for strengthening PSI’s collaboration and partnership with provincial partners, local authorities and other implementing partners.

Major duties:
• Work closely with PSI staff, MOH/DOH and training consultants to identify training needs, develop curricula, implement training and conduct periodic supportive supervision visits; coordinate with local Department of Health etc., provide periodic visits project trained private providers to improve adherence to quality service delivery standards
• Contribute to the collection, analysis and application of routine monitoring data and other SI activities to inform and assess franchising activities
• Motivate, supervise a team of Quality Improvement Officers in the North, ensure smooth and effective operation work of QI works for service delivery.
• Work closely with the HS Manager to develop and monitor progress against donor deliverables and program budget.
• Work with Marketing team to contribute to the development of communication materials for social franchising and other health related programs.
• Coordinate with other PSI departments including Sales, Marketing and SI to implement complementary, supportive activities
• Draft/compile/update sub-agreement/sub-award contracts (including SOW, work plan and budget estimate) with local partners and franchisees. Work closely with the HS Manager to monitor progress of local partners’ implementation/spending against agreed work and budget plan
• Represent PSI Vietnam at provincial/regional levels technical meetings or events as requested/authorized & build relationships with provincial partners.

Selection criteria
• Medical doctor required
• Additional degrees (e.g. public health, health administration, etc.) will be a plus
• At least 4 years experience in health care service delivery, private sector experience will be preferred
• Knowledgeable of tuberculosis control, non-communicable diseases, child health and other public health
• Strong competency in English (written and communication)
• Good competency in MS suites.
