Fundraising Staff

Saigon Children’s Charity is a well-respected international NGO working exclusively in Southern Vietnam for 18 years ensuring that disadvantaged children receive an education and have what they need to lift themselves out of poverty.

They are now looking for creative, enthusiastic individuals to join our small, highly effective Fundraising team.

The work of the Fundraising team is a key component at SCC: the team is not only responsible for raising the funds necessary for operating our educational programmes but also responsible for raising awareness of who they are and what they do, both in Vietnam and overseas.

They are looking for enthusiastic & dynamic individuals to join the team. An important responsibility of the Fundraising team is developing good relationships with SCC sponsors, and researching and establishing contacts with new potential donors. The Fundraising team will be working with major companies and Foundations and with people at a senior level in those organisations. These will be both in Vietnam and in other countries around the world.  Candidates will therefore need to be confident and out-going, and have advanced English-language skills. Other key tasks will include:

Projects: Fundraising staff will work closely with the Fundraising Manager and SCC’s project managers to produce fundraising plans for each assigned project and write proposals/applications to potential donors and reports to sponsors during and after the implementation of the projects.
Events: Fundraising staff are responsible for creating and carrying out events that raise both funds as well as awareness of Saigon Children’s Charity.
Marketing: The Fundraising team will be responsible for managing SCC’s marketing efforts, including creating and implementing new marketing and merchandising campaigns, and supporting the marketing and promotion of SCC events and partnerships which will raise both funds and awareness.
Media: The Fundraising team will be responsible for all areas of Media, including traditional media as well as “new media”. This will include promoting SCC through channels such as print and television as well as by using online forms of media such as our website and social networking tools (Facebook, Twitter)..

The work will be based in SCC’s offices in District 3 of Ho Chi Minh City.
