Position Title: Data Management and Quality Assurance Researcher
Location: Dong Da district, Hanoi, Vietnam
Contract Type: Full-Time, one-year contract.

Overall Purpose:

Mekong Economics Ltd (www.mekongeconomics.com) is undertaking Enterprise Survey projects for the World Bank in multiple countries. The Data Management and Quality Assurance Researcher will support the firm in managing the surveys and ensuring the quality of data. The candidate will be expected to liaise with team members and subcontractors in surveys. The candidate is expected to be skilled in R (STATA and Python will be a plus). Proficiency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Management and Survey Implementation Support: Coordinate the collection, processing, storage, retrieval and analysis of data in enterprise surveys in accordance with the company's data management procedures and systems. Assist screeners and enumerators in navigating and using necessary software for survey implementation, specifically Survey Solutions and Google Sheets.
2. Data Quality Assurance: Develop and implement data quality assurance procedures using R (STATA/Python) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data. Regularly conduct data quality checks on the collected survey data to identify and correct any inconsistencies or errors.
3. Data Analysis: Analyse the World Bank Enterprise Survey data to extract meaningful insights from the data in accordance with the company’s request.
4. Reporting: Prepare regular reports summarizing findings and insights drawn from data analysis. Present these reports in a clear and comprehensible manner to the intended audience including managers, customers and subcontractors.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related discipline with a solid knowledge foundation of surveys and data. A Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
2. Proven experience in survey management, data management and quality assurance.
3. Proficiency in R (STATA and Python will be a plus).
4. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

1. Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate work with others (customers, team members and subcontractors).
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them effectively, and deliver high-quality work within the specified deadlines.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Evaluation Criteria:

The evaluation of candidates will be based on the requirements mentioned above. Shortlisted candidates may be required to take a test. References will also be verified.
