Coordinator for Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) in Vietnam

Climate Change Working Group (CCWG), the biggest network of CSOs in Vietnam working on climate change topics (CCWG - http://www.ngocentre.org.vn/ccwg), established in 2008, brings together INGOs, Vietnamese NGOs, development agencies, institutions, professionals, and individuals to exchange ideas and to discuss 'lessons learned on how to improve their capacity related to climate change. The network's mission is to contribute to reducing the vulnerability of poor people in Vietnam to the impacts of climate change through NGO coordination, advocacy, and capacity building to achieve environmentally and economically sustainable as well as socially just responses to climate change.

We are looking for a team member for a coordinator position. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks such as organizing meetings and workshops, developing annual work plans, facilitating information requests, and supporting NGO representation in different forums and events. Please find more information in the attached ToR.

The main tasks include:

• Coordinate and facilitate effective knowledge-sharing and learning among CCWG members regarding climate change initiatives and information, with the goal of maximizing impact and avoiding duplication. This should be done in collaboration with the Chair.
• Provide support to the Core Group in the development and implementation of network activities
• Support the strengthening of capacity-building activities within CCWG

The required qualifications for the position include the following:

• University degree or/and master’s degree in major development issues,
• At least 3 years of experience working in NGO environment, if possible,
• Written and oral communication skills (fluent in both Vietnamese and English),
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills,
• Highly organized self-motivated and flexible,
• Good at computer literacy: word, excel, PPT,
• Interest in climate change topics and NGO work.
