Consulting Firm to Develop and Deliver the Introductory Training Course on Smart Factories

The USAID Workforce for an Innovation and Start-up Ecosystem (WISE) is USAID Vietnam’s effort to innovate ways to develop the workforce readiness sector by supporting the country’s burgeoning private sector and non-profit market for training workers in Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) skill sets. The goal of USAID’s WISE activity is to pilot solutions that could improve Vietnam’s 4IR workforce readiness status. WISE is managed under USAID’s U.S. Support for Economic Growth in Asia (US-SEGA) program. The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI)’s National Innovation Center (NIC) is the Government of Vietnam’s partner for the WISE pilot. WISE seeks to collaborate with the private sector and not-for-profit training institutions, employers, and other relevant stakeholders to innovate, test, and expand market-driven, sustainable models for a more competitive workforce to facilitate Vietnam’s transition to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

WISE is looking to expand the market for smart factory skills and training in Vietnam and is for a consulting firm to develop and deliver an introductory training course series on Smart Factories to Vietnamese learners in the initial stage. The training course will be integrated into NIC’s LMS. The beneficiaries of this training course might include senior executives and staff of local businesses and other relevant stakeholders. The selected firm expects to operate on a long-term basis and will take advantage of this technical assistance provided by WISE and NIC to expand the market for smart factories in Vietnam.
