Consultation on Policy Advocacy for INSC-PRPP Project

The Project “Support to the implementation of the Resolution 80/NQ-CP on directions of sustainable poverty reduction (2011-2020) and the National Targeted Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction (2012-2016)" (PRPP). The Project is supported by UNDP with cost-sharing from Irish Aid is to provide technical assistance for Ministry of Labor-Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) and other related agencies at central and local level.

Experts and policy makers noted that while the results from the NTP on New Rural Developmen (NTP-NRD) and NTPSPR for the past years were quite good, a new approach is necessary to improve the effectiveness and impact of the programme by addressing the core determinant of the success of the programme—leadership, both at the local and central government level, for promoting greater empowerment, helping local people adopt new mindset of self-reliance and community mobilization in their own community development.

In order to start providing support consultation for policy making for 02 NTPs in the next period, PRPP project plans to recruit a specialist team to implement the task “Policy advocacy to establish content for propaganda, capacity building and awareness renovation for National Targeted Program – New Rural Development and National Targeted Program – Sustainable Poverty Reduction 2016-2020”
