Introduction:

Environment and Development Action in Viet Nam (endaVietnam) is the Vietnamese antenna of enda Tiers Monde, operating in different provinces/cities in Viet Nam since 1995. EndaVietnam works with the poor in urban areas with focusing on community savings, slum upgrading, community-based solid waste system management, environment awareness, housing for low-income people, network of communities and cities. The current project areas are Hanoi, Da Nang, QuyNhon, Ha Tinh, Kon Tum and Ho Chi Minh City.

EndaVietnam is currently planning to create, enhance and advocate for its social position and brand name in the community as a leading organization in activities of environment targeting at the below objectives:

1.To improve and manage the communication between the organization with external and internal stakeholders
2.To maintain and develop the database and network of local and international stakeholders
3.To standardize and manage the organizational brand name through written code of communication

EndaVietnam seeks  qualified Communication Volunteers to work for the period from July 15 2013 to December 2013.

Main Responsibilities: Volunteer 1

- Conduct a research and mapping potential donors through internet-base tools, and establishing a database system for fundraising;
- Manage the social media networks and run the pilot activity of the organization external communication;
- Assist to accumulate existing documents and preparation for ready to upload on Enda Vietnam’s Website;
- Assist to admin and project manager of checking data, publications, press releases, media and communication work, and multimedia materials are archived appropriately in an easily retrievable electronic based system;
- Coordinate to support local partners and staffs in communication training and media related work of required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Marketing or Communication degree or equivalent education in professional fields
- One year experience in similar field or in NGOs environment is an  asset;
- Very good in research and analytic skills (both written and oral)
- Good communication skills and familiar with social media, communication networking (Face- book, Twitter, You-tube, Google +, etc.)
- Demonstration ability or experience in finding new creative media angles;
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Creativity and flexibility
- Good in Vietnamese and English languages
- Proactive, creative, flexible, teamwork, committed and good listener
- Ability to work under pressure and frequent travels.

Main Responsibilities: Volunteer 2

- Assist to accumulate existing documents and preparation for ready to upload on Enda Vietnam’s Website;
- Assist to admin and project manager of checking data, publications, press releases, media and communication work, and multimedia materials are archived appropriately in an easily retrievable electronic based system.
- Assist to collect information for writing success stories, press release and involve in external communications in English and Vietnamese;
- Assist in collection of pictures, interviews and videos;
- Contribute to producing and achieving quality, efficiency and impact of Enda communication materials (presentations, brochures);
- Provide support to develop new IEC materials design for waste management of project (leaflets, brochures, books, etc.)
- Assist in the publication and circulation of internal and external newsletter

Requirements  & Qualifications:

- Marketing or Communication degree or equivalent education in the field
- One year experience with NGOs working environment is a plus
- Very good in communication and publication skills (both written and oral)
- Good computer skills in MS Office and familiar with some multimedia software (e.g. Photoshop, In-design, Pro-show or Adobe Premier)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Creativity and flexibility
- Good in Vietnamese and English languages
- Proactive, creative, flexible, teamwork, committed and good listener
- Ability to work under pressure and frequent travels.
