Chief of Party - Vietnam Sustainable Financing for HIV

Chief of Party - Vietnam Sustainable Financing for HIV (SFA)

Organization Overview

The International Development Division focuses on improving the lives and economic well-being of people in lower and middle-income countries. We command technical expertise in health, agriculture, climate change, food security and governance—as well as in international evaluation. Our multi-layered health portfolio includes policy, health promotion and disease prevention, health finance, and health systems management. In partnership with government clients and local experts, our high-quality programs in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East are known for impact and innovation.

USAID’s Sustainable Financing for HIV is a two-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Vietnam. The project started on October 1, 2018, and will end on September 30, 2020. The project expands on USAID’s existing support to the Government of Vietnam (GVN) to provide a program of targeted, innovative, evidence-based, and results-driven technical assistance (TA). Building on its predecessor, the Health Finance and Governance (HFG) project, SFA is designed to help Vietnam mobilize and organize in-country financing for HIV programs. This includes strengthening the capacity of the GVN to achieve financial protection for health and minimizing the out-of-pocket burden for people living with HIV (PLHIV) as they use comprehensive HIV services.
