CALLS FOR PROPOSALS: “Analysis of Current Trends in Agriculture and Aquaculture Production"

Start Date: Work is expected to begin no later than June 1, 2022

Timelines: The length of the consultancy will be 5 months long, and should be completed between June to October 2022. The expected end date for completion of the deliverables is no later than October 31, 2022.

WWF-Greater Mekong is seeking expressions of interest from qualified consultants or consulting firms to provide analysis of current trends in agriculture and aquaculture production in the Greater Mekong region and to make recommendations for and support the development of a framework for WWF action on building more nature-positive food production systems in the region.

The consultancy may be carried out by an individual, a small team, or an organization, with the following qualifications: 

• Deep expertise in sustainable agriculture and aquaculture (including the spectrum of blue foods such as wild-capture fisheries to culture-based fisheries) and nature-positive food production; 
• Extensive experience working in the Greater Mekong region;
• Relevant qualifications in environmental or natural resources economics; rural policy or social development; conversion-free agriculture and restoration of degraded lands, or equivalent experience; 
• Expertise in systems thinking, Theory of Change and results chains development (ideally using Open Standards/PPMS), and program development;
• Strong facilitation and capacity building skills;
• Strong research and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail;
• Ability to work productively on independent research assignments and as part of a cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary team;  
• Ability to engage effectively with technical and leadership staff at the country and regional level; 
• Previous experience with WWF or other international NGO project and programme development processes preferred; 
• Professional-level English language skills; additional skills in regional languages an advantage
