Volunteer Opportunity with ActionAid Vietnam

ActionAid is an international development agency whose aim is to fight poverty worldwide. Founded in the United Kingdom in 1972, for over 30 years, we have been growing and expanding to where we are today - helping the poorest and most excluded people in 47 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas in securing their rights and eradicating poverty.

In Vietnam, ActionAid operates in rural poverty pockets of mountainous and remote regions, in urban poor areas of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and other cities since 1989 to promote human rights through issues of education, women’s rights, climate change, governance and food rights.

ActionAid International Vietnam (AAV) is seeking to recruit volunteers to join our child sponsorship team.

1.Scope of Work:
- Child profile for top up and transfer processing.
- Photo update processing.
- Translation of letters from sponsors.
- Translation of child messages.
- Merging letter and mailing child messages.
- Other tasks (filling, check child profile data etc.)

2.Requirements:
- Undergraduate and graduate students with commitment of working as volunteers for at least 1 year
- Fluency in English writing.
- Proficiency in office Microsoft and Internet.
- Careful and precise in processing and filing data.
- Follow strictly working regulations for volunteers.

3.Working hours:
- Starts at 9 am from Monday to Friday. Volunteers can work for full day (6 hours/ day) or haft day (3 hours/ day)

4.Working allowance:
- Full day: 50,000 VND/day
- Haft day: 25,000 VND/section
Volunteers also receive allowances for translation of letter, postcards and child messages... which are regulated in AAV policies.

5.Other benefits
- Volunteer will have opportunities to contribute to the development of children and community in Vietnam and work in professional working environment. In addition, volunteers will be trained on necessary working skills. Upon the completion of the contract, volunteers will be given reference letters.
