The opportunity

• Full-time, fixed-term contract until 2025

Aus4Skills

The goal of Aus4Skills is to support Vietnam to access and use high level professional and technical knowledge, skills and competencies, to contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program also aims to deepen Vietnamese and Australian people-to-people and institutional links and therefore strengthen the partnership between the two countries. Aus4Skills is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Key responsibilities

• Provide informed strategic advice and input to the VAC activities and operations to address evolving Vietnamese and Australian government needs, opportunities and challenges
• Lead and manage the quality development, delivery and reporting of education, research and partnership activities
• Manage ongoing monitoring, evaluation and learning activities and develop an annual plan for the VAC
• Develop and manage the VAC’s financial budget, including monthly expenditure reporting and forecasts

Selection criteria

• Postgraduate degree(s), preferably from an Australian university, in education, human resources, international development, project management or similar, or equivalent professional experience
• Professional experience in the planning and management of teams or projects involving education and training or skills development
• Experience with planning, implementing and evaluating a variety of activities - including short courses, workshops, conferences and seminars - that demonstrate creativity or innovation
• Experience working and/or liaising with the Vietnamese government and Party’s senior leaders and good knowledge of the system and protocols
