Job Description

We are urgently looking for an experienced staff to fill in the position of Videographer/Photographer working for an on-going donor-funded project in Hanoi (Part-time, up to 34 man-days per year).

S/hewill conduct tasks but not limited to the following:

  • Review the event and mission documents and guidelines
  • Attend projects events and visit the project site(s) to shoot photos, record videos and follows up to obtain the information mentioned in the guidelines with support of Communicatio Officer.  
  • Edit videos with subtitles in English/Vietnamese, as requested
  • Merge/ integrate videos to produce videos (to be confirmed upon request)
  • Merge photos to produce photo essays (to be confirmed upon request)
  • Finalize photos and videos upon comments, and submit them in required format
  • Edit the deliverables to broadcast on a national TV channel

S/he will liaise on a request basis with various departments of the Donorand stakeholders, including (but not limited to) agriculture, city, water and sanitation, etc. S/he will also liaise with the project Communication Officer.More details will be discussed during the interview.

Assignment duration: ASAP to Apr 2024.

Required Skills/Experience

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film/Video Production, Communications, Journalism, Television Production, Media Arts, or any other relevant discipline;
  • 05 years of experience in producing videos, especially for donors, national and international organizations, especially in the fields of climate change resilience and water resource management;
  • Knowledge of video production processes and technologies;
  • Knowledge of communications and video production in water and resource management projects financed by NGOs or multilateral organizations is a plus;
  • Good networking in communication field, TV channels
  • Proven experience in operating video production equipment and using complex post-production applications;

Skills:

  • Taking initiatives and proposing views/questions which seem judicious;
  • Aesthetic and creative skills to select stories, write stories and generate ideas in combination with meticulous planning to create successful videos;
  • Excellent English and Vietnamese skills (optional);
  • Good analytical and communication skills;
  • Excellent time management, coordination, and interpersonal skills

Equipment:

Minimum equipment and material required (All is in good condition; expired equipment is not acceptable.)

  • Good quality camera and supporting equipment;
  • External microphone (tie type);
