RECRUITMENT ANNOUCEMENT

Working station: Hanoi office with possible travel to provinces.

Position: Researcher (01 person).

Program: Gender equality and violence prevention.

Contract term: 1 year and can be extended each year until December 2027.

1. About CCIHP

Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (C.CIHP) is a Vietnamese NGO registered under VUSTA since 2008. We are working in the fields of public health, health equity, gender and gender-based violence, reproductive and sexual health, and disability and mental health.

C.CIHP is currently looking for 01 researcher and research coordinator to work full-time in the period from November 2023 to December 2027. The researcher will work for a collaborative research program between Emory University (USA) and C.CIHP in the field of violence prevention. This research program has been a collaboration between Emory University and C.CIHP for the past five years. , This research focuses on the topic of sexual violence prevention for male students at six medical universities in Vietnam.

2. Tasks description

About research expertise:

- Responsible for implementing the quantitative research component:

• Designing questionnair on the data collection and management tools such as REDCap, KOBO;
• Management and exporting data reports as required by research manager;
• Supporting data analysis as required by research manager.

- Supporting to implement the qualitative research components:

• Supporting to conduct in-depth interviews and group discussions with research subjects;
• Supporting to read transcripts of in-depth interviews and group discussions, analyzing and summarizing data as required by research manager;
• Participating in other research as required by research manager.

About research coordination expertise:

• Planing data collection, working with partners (6 universities) to schedule surveys, interviews, and group discussions;
• Monitoring progress of quantitative data collection, and coordinating with partners to promote progress according to research requirements
• Making payments for field research activities and settle costs of field research activities.

3. Required Qualifications

• A minimum of bachelor's degree in public health, social sciences or a related field;
• At least 2 years of working experience in health-related field or violence prevention is an advantage; having knowledge and experience about quantitative and qualitative research in the field of gender equality and gender-based violence;
• Having knowledge and experience in using data collection tools such as REDCap, KOBO...
• Ability to communicate effectively with partners, flexibly and handle multiple tasks at the same time;
• Ability to go on field trips in relevant provinces;
• Being able to use English at work is an advantage.
