Project Officer (Health and Nutrition Program)

We are looking for a Vietnamese national for:

  • Vacancy: Project Officer (Health and Nutrition Program)
  • Based in Hai Phong city

Main Responsibilities:

The project officer is responsible for managing and implementing activities of the project “Improving access to and utilization of adolescent responsive health services for urban migrant young women and girls in Hai Phong, Vietnam in Hai Phong city in collaboration with Hai Phong city Labour Union and Hai Phong city Department of Health with technical  and management support from project manager.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • University degree, preferred in Medicine or Public Health or social development

Desirable

  • Master degree, preferred in Medicine or Public Health

Experiences and skills

Essential

  • Good working knowledge in English in both speaking and writing skills.
  • Experience in financial procedures and accounting.
  • Knowledge of progressive health and medical approaches for public health
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in project management in related field.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment. Work independently, focused on maintaining high quality work.
  • Experience working with government counterparts, health facilities at province, district and commune levels and community based interventions;
  • Experience in successful implementation of a wide range of tasks within a project environment to tight timeframes and under pressure.
  • Effectiveness in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization of NGOs/INGOs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable

  • Ideally, experience in Health project management with NGOs/INGOs.
  • Have a very high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Be both self-confident and humble.
