I. Background:

Consultative and Research Centre on Nature Resource Management and Climate Change Adaptation (CORENACCA) implements sustainable development and climate change adaptation projects in coastal communities and mountainous areas of Thanh Hoa province and other provinces since 2014. Currently, CORENACCA Center is coordinating with local partners to design and organize the implementation of projects in three main areas:

• The climate change adaptation livelihood projects to support ethnic minorities in highland and coastal areas that are most affected by climate change.
• Nature and biodiversity conservation projects in nature reserves and world biosphere reserves in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces
• Climate Change Adaptive Disaster Risk Management Project;

To contribute to completing project goals as planned. CORENACCA is recruiting 1 Project Officer position with the following requirements:

II. Information about vacancies

Contract: From 10^th  May to 30^th  September, 2024

Work Location: Thanh Hoa Province

Working time: Full-time.

Report to: Vice Director of CORENACCA

Start work:   10^th May, 2024

1.   Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and direct supervision of mangrove planting and maitaining  activities in 3 communes Da Loc, Hau Loc district and Nga Thuy, Nga Tan, Nga Son district
• Implement and monitor livelihood model activities in the project site.
• Implement communication campaigns on mangrove forests and environment protection
• Support the Coordinator to update data in the Project's M$E system
• Coordinate to conduct meetings, workshops and trainings.
• Participate and support experts inside and outside the center to carry out research and consulting activities in the project site
• Monitor and implement other Project activities if required
• Complete financial procedures such as settlement, advances and reimbursement of project activities.
• Prepare logistical work.

2. Report

• Write activity reports, periodic reports (Monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Participate in writing project needs research reports and project completion reports.
• Report directly to the Center's deputy director - cum coordinator.

III.  Work conditions:

• The main working locations will be in 3 communes: Da Loc, Hau Loc district, Nga Thuy, Nga Tan, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa.
• Provide with necessary equipment to work.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends when there are special programs or events.
• Professional working environment, with opportunities to learn and improve expertise and skills to better serve project implementation

IV. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, college degree, preferably in forestry, agriculture, or environment.
• Experience in related fields, experience working on community development projects and English skills is an advantage.
• Good skills in using Microsoft, Email and Internet
• Good presentation and report writing skills
• Able to work under high pressure and independently
