Employment Opportunity for a Migrant Services Assistant
To be based in Ho Chi Minh City:

Major Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Head of Facilitated Migration (FM), the Migrant Services Assistant, is responsible for assisting migrants to properly complete their applications for visas. More particularly, the Migrant Services Assistant will:

- Advise applicants about their visa applications formalities.
- Assist applicants with documents preparation.
- Perform informal translation from English into Vietnamese and vice versa.
- Ensure all documents are forwarded to responsible authorities and follow up as appropriate.
- Maintain a good service-oriented and friendly interaction. 
- Maintain good working relations with the partners and relevant authorities as required.
- Input data.
- Maintain a system of accessible, organized and accurate statistical data in the computer system and in filing cabinets at all time.
- Respond to written and oral enquiries relating to project activities.
- Assist other colleagues as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head of Facilitated Migration.

Education/Experience Required:  High school diploma or equivalent.  Several years of work experience in a similar setting and capacity. Knowledge of the needs of migrants.
 
Competence/Skills: Excellent knowledge of English; Excellent computer skills, especially in Word & Excel; Strong interpersonal & intercultural skills; Excellent Customer Service Relations Skills; Excellent Presentation.

Language Proficiency:  Vietnamese, English. Any other language is an advantage.

Salary: Grade 4 (UN salary Scale)
