Members of iSEE’s Institute Council

The Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment – iSEE is a non-profit organisation working for human rights and especially minority rights, towards a society of freedom, equality and tolerance. Founded in 2007, iSEE has continuously promoted the rights of homosexuals, bisexuals and transgenders (LGBT), and ethnic minorities. iSEE has also contributed to the expansion of civil spaces, policy dialogues, and particularly leadership capacity buildings for community groups.

In order to further the governance mechanisms of transparency and high accountability, iSEE desires to expand and strengthen the role of the Institute Council in the organization’s governance. Therefore, iSEE would like to invite individuals who are interested in the development of Vietnam in general and  civil society in particular, as well as iSEE’s mission, to apply to be a part of the Institute Council:

The Council will have 7 members with the following responsibilities:

- Promote and protect the values ??and mission of iSEE
- Advise in the organisation’s strategy development, approve the annual plans and update iSEE on the changing context
- Represent iSEE in important events
- Ensure that iSEE operates legally, properly, and adhere to the code of ethics
- Support the Director and members of iSEE in managerial and technical matters

The members of the Council work on  a volunteer basis with no income. The Council will meet 2 times per year, in January and July. The term of membership is 2 years, and each member must not serve more than 2 terms.
