RECRUITMENT FOR INCOME GENERATION OFFICER

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has works in 40 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including about 10 million children.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 4 provinces: Hà Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. GNI in Vietnam sponsors about 10,000 children and implements community development projects (CDP) in education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 7 different areas of Vietnam.

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Country Director, General Manager, AD-FD Junior Manager/Officers , PMs, Project Officers

External: GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

• Assess demands of community in economic development field;
• Design income generation programs to increasing income for people based on development policies of GNI;
• Collaborate with stakeholders in preparing the proposal, conducting logic-frame for community development projects based on sponsored or non-sponsored;
• Prepare proposal and operate special projects for income generation, carry out fundraising activities for IG project;
• Coordinate with the CDPs and research partners for value chain analysis, marketing for products of IG projects.
• Support Team leader to control IG budget and revolving fund of whole field country;
• Supporting and Checking POA preparation for IG development program, and ensure that the planning matched with development policy of GNI;
• Provide technical supports and push IG operations in all CDP;
• Develop and issue guidelines, standard and procedures implementing activities related to income generation;
• Make sure CDPs to obey the standards, guidelines and regulations related to IG and project management;
• Collaborate with SPD Division in project monitoring, evaluation when required;
• Develop and maintain relationships with specialists in IG field, specialized organizations and local authorities to promote the project activities;
• Other tasks assigned by Team Leader and OD Junior Manager.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education:

• University degree in Economics, Agriculture, Agricultural Development, Social Development and other related fields.

Work experience:

• Minimum 1 year of similar role;
• Experience of designing and implementing community development projects or programs to support farmers increase their income;
• Experience of designing and delivering training to colleagues and ethnic minority farmers.

Skills:

• Able to work under pressure and solve the arising problem;
• Ability to work independently and work with the team;
• Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
• Good English language skills in writing & speaking;
• Good skill in computer use
