English – Vietnamese simultaneous interpretation in meeting/workshop on leadership for police officers to combat wildlife trafficking in 04 workshops in WCLI.

·     Topics: leadership, policing, crimes, wildlife, combating wildlife crimes.

·     Types: the interpreter(s) will provide simultaneous interpretation mainly in the cabin booth. There are some notes for interpretation as below:

  • The international trainers will prepare some pre-recorded videos of the lessons; these videos have Vietnamese subtitles. The interpreter(s) will repeat Vietnamese subtitles of the video.
  • When participants discuss in small groups, the interpreter(s) will go to tables and use mobile phones to provide whispering interpretation to international trainers in Zoom, so that the trainers can understand and share comments more effectively.
  • If participants noted their results on papers for presenting, the interpreter(s) will quickly translate the papers and take photo of translated information, send to the international trainers

Simultaneous interpretation done fluently in the workshop

 

February - June 2022

14 days:

- Workshop 1 in Da Nang: 3 days from 21 - 23/02/2022

- Workshop 2 in Con Dao: 5 days from 07 - 12/3/2022

- Workshop 3 in Phu Quoc: 5 days from 04 - 08/4/2022

- Workshop 4 in Thanh Hoa: 1 day on 07/6/2022

Payment will be made 01 time(s) within 15 days upon approval by WCS on completed service(s)

 

II.        Consultant Requirements:

WCS is looking for interpreters for English – Vietnamese simultaneous interpretation in 04 workshops in WCLI. The interpreters should have:

  • University and/or advanced degree(s) in English
  • Has over 3 years of experience in simultaneous interpretation of English - Vietnamese.
  • Has experience of simultaneous interpretation for topics of policing, crimes, wildlife.
  • Has experience of simultaneous interpretation for events of the Ministry of Public Security, as an asset.
