Consultant to Develop Guidelines for Marine Litter Assessment and Data Analysis in Vietnam (Clean Cities, Blue Ocean)

The USAID-funded Clean Cities, Blue Ocean (CCBO) program in Vietnam, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development is currently seeking the services of an experienced consultant to develop Guidelines for Marine Litter Assessment and Data Analysis in Vietnam.

CCBO program is a five-year initiative of USAID which will serve as USAID's flagship program to target ocean plastics directly at their source in cities and towns. The program works to prevent ocean plastic pollution by building capacity and commitment for Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling (3Rs) and solid waste management (SWM) in urban and peri-urban settings, particularly in riverine and coastal areas. CCBO works with multiple USAID missions on country-specific implementation of national and local activities, and with USAID/Washington on global-level activities.

The Consultant will work with the CCBO Vietnam technical specialists, managers, and others stake holders. The assignment will be conducted between December 2022 and March 2023.

Qualification:

• Master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, and management, marine science and management, or other fields related to the scope of the assignment.
• Ten years of work experience in or with marine plastic litter or marine litter assessments, within Vietnam is preferred.
• At least eight years of professional experience with specific proven experience in solid waste management of at least three years.
• Experience in the field of/ collaborating with stakeholders related to marine litter, waste management, and plastic waste issues.
• Excellent English and Vietnamese communication, writing, and analytical skills.
