RECRUITMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION & EDUCATION PROJECT COORDINATOR

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in 45 countries.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 4 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. We focus on education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 6 different areas of Vietnam.

Reports to: Operation Division Manager, Education & Protection Team Leader

 

 

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

External

Country Director, General Manager, Managers/Officers in HO, PMs, Project Officers

GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

  • Be in charge of construction & education projects in schools and communities in Hanoi City and Hoa Binh;
  • Directly implement project activities within the approved project plan including writing proposals, making cost estimates, working with contractors, suppliers and reporting on the results of activities;
  • Carry out regular monitoring of the construction process and related educational activities;
  • Coordinate with local partners to implement project activities on schedule and effectively;
  • Work as a focal point to receive information and report project progress and results to Korean donors;
  • Perform other tasks as required by Team Leader and Operation Division Manager.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: University Degree of Construction Management,  Civil Construction, Education Management or other majors of development issues

Work experience

  • Understand construction law, basic knowledge of construction project management and standard of school construction;
  • At least 01 of experience working for an NGO or organizations with related position, understanding of project management process and partnership with local governments

Skills

  • Written and oral communication skills (fluent in both Vietnamese and English),
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
  • Good at computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT and Internet
